GDG Philippines and Globe Labs are inviting everyone to join the weekend Google Cardboard Hackthon on January 31 to February 01, 2015.
Google Cardboard is a lowcost virtual reality viewer that transforms a phone into a basic VR headset. Cardboard is just cardboard, some velcro, plastic lenses, two magnets, and a rubber band. With Cardboard and your phone, you can visit new places play immersive games, fly through space, and more.
The categories for the Hackathon are Education, Travel/Culture (Philippines), Gaming, and Retail. There is also a special category for apps developed for Ayala Museum. For details about the event, check out http://developer.globelabs.com.ph/feed/29.
