GDG DevFest Philippines 2016 will be on October 2, 2016 at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier, Taguig City. GDG DevFests are large, community-run events that can offer speaker sessions across multiple product areas, all-day hack-a-thons, code labs, and more. GDG DevFest Philippines 2016 will bring you the latest Google technologies with the world experts, hands-on activities that will challenge your skills, and fun and exciting games!

GDG DevFest Philippines 2015

We held our GDG DevFest Philippines on October 16-17, 2015.

On the first day which was focused on Android & VR, there were hands-on workshops on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android Basics, Firebase, Material Design, and Google Cardboard.

The second day of was focused on Web. Participants joined hands-on workshops on Polymer, Firebase, Material Design Lite, HTML5 Game Development. There was also a Gemma Kit workshop on Day 2.

GDG DevFest Philippines 2015

Update: GDG DevFest Philippines 2015 has been moved to October 16-17.

GDG DevFest Philippines 2015 will be on September 28-29, 2015 (Venue TBA). Day 1 will be Android and VR and Day 2 will be on Web. GDG DevFest is a community-organized event that provides the opportunity for developers to learn about Google technologies and other developer products. There will be hands-on sessions especially on new technologies like Android M, Firebase, Material Design, Polymer, and more.

GDG DevFest Philippines 2014

Registration for GDG DevFest Philippines 2014 is now open! What is a DevFest? DevFests are community-organized events that provides the opportunity for developers to learn about Google technologies and developer products. Check out http://devfest.gdgph.org/ to see what happened in our DevFest Philippines events in 2012 and 2013.

This year, GDG DevFest Philippines 2014 will be held in De La Salle University. Aside from technical talks, we will be having code labs too. If you are interested to join, check the registration and other details at http://devfest.gdgph.org/. To register, you would need to sign in using your Google+ account. We will be sending confirmation emails in the coming days.

We're still finalizing the agenda and the list of speakers! We'll be posting updates on our events site and on our Google+ Page.

Event Updates

GDG Philippines has been quite busy the past few days. We had a map up of the Department of Health (September 25), GDG Campus Roadshows in Asia Pacific College (September 27) and UP Diliman (October 4), and a Google Cloud Platform Meetup (October 2) with Melina Lee, Head of Google Cloud Platform Southeast Asia.

We still a lot of events in the next few days. Our next big event is GDG DevFest Philippines 2014, which will be on October 24, 2014. DevFests are community-organized events that provides the opportunity for developers to learn about Google technologies and developer products. Registration for GDG DevFest Philippines 2014 will be opened in the next few hours.

GDG Devfest Women Philippines

GDG Philippines organized GDG Devfest Women Philippines last March 9, 2013 at Globe Corporate Showroom, Valero Telepark.

GDG Devfest and g|philipppines

GDG (Google Developer Group) Philippines, will be hosting the first GDG DevFest on August 4, 2012. This community organized event promises to be an excellent opportunity to learn about some of the recent developments in Google Developer Technologies and to connect Pinoy developers to Google Developer advocates and engineers. There will be introductory and medium-level sessions on best practices for using Google technologies like AppEngine,Web Services, HTML5 and Android. Also, on August 3 and 4, Google is bringing the first annual g|Philippines in Manila. DevFest 2010!

Google DevFest 2010 Manila was a rousing success yesterday with hundreds of developers (professionals and students) flocking to the UP-Ayala Technohub in Quezon City. We'd like to thank the volunteers who arrived as early as 6:30 a.m. to help with the set-up. Registration started on time at 8:30 a.m. and the room was packed by 9:00 a.m. Christine Songco kicked off the event with welcome remarks and by introducing the Googlers who were around for the event:  Christine, Patrick, Jeremy, Dan, Timothy, Bob, David, Stephanie and Aileen.

All set for DevFest Manila

It is just four days to go before the DevFest 2010 Manila. It will be held on July 6, 2010 at UP-Ayala Technohub from eight thirty in the morning to six in the evening. Jeremy Orlow, Daniels Lee, Patrick Chanezon, Timothy Jordan and Bob Aman are the guests from Google and they will be talking about Chrome/HTML5, App Engine, Social APIs and Maps API. DevFest 2010 Manila

Google D3vF3st is a free developer event where you can learn a lot about Google technologies and other developer news. It is a tour of Google engineers and developers advocates in various cities around the world where they serve as resource speakers and give talks, coding demonstrations and answer questions. D3vF3st 2010 will take place this year on cities in Australia, Israel, Spain, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

The Philippines already had a DevFest last 2008. This year, we are very lucky to be a part of another DevFest. And our country is their first stop-over on Southeast Asia. DevFest 2010 Manila will focus on the following topics: Chrome/HTML5, App Engine, Social APIs and Maps API. There will be five engineers and developer advocates coming here. They are Jeremy Orlow, Daniels Lee, Patrick Chanezon, Timothy Jordan and Bob Aman. Additional information about them can be found at http://code.google.com/events/devfests/2010/asia1.html. There will also be a Hackaton during the DevFest.

DevFest 2010 Manila will be on July 6, 2010 from 08:30 in the morning to 06:00 in the evening. The venue of the event is still being finalized and will be announced soon. You can now register at http://code.google.com/events/devfests/2010/asia1.html. (Register early because slots are limited).
